Vantage Seismic Agreements

There are representatives from Vantage Energy walking our neighborhoods recently. I just had Mr. Rick Bourbois come to my home. Vantage is trying to get these seismic forms finalized so they can move forward with the future drilling plan. Signing this form is a decision only you can make. If you do not have an issue with seismic testing, please feel free to sign the form and return it to Vantage Energy. If you have concerns, please feel free to ask.

The original form was a two part form. It was a seismic release with a “neighborhood support for drilling” attached to the City of Fort Worth. We took issue with this form because it was two different releases. Vantage agreed to remove the “support statement” and simply make this new form a seismic agreement. In and of itself the seismic testing process should not do any damage to the delicate foundations we all have in Wedgwood. Vantage has also agreed in writing that they will be responsible for any damages should they occur.

Again, signing the seismic agreement is a personal choice. It does change a key element of the lease agreement. The original lease excludes seismic testing. This agreement would be an addendum to the original lease. The exclusion was originally made because so many people in our neighborhood were against it. If you now feel you are ok with it, please feel free to sign the agreement.

Many of you have asked if I have signed the agreement. While it is a personal decision, I have no issue sharing the fact that I have done so.
